Got the shock tower notch started on the passenger side of the '75, along with the shelby drop on that side. Test fit the 5.0l HO to see if I can use the '92 Cougar HO shorties before I welded it all back in, looks like they may fit if I can fit up the exhaust. Won't know until I notch the drivers side on the next trip up to the shop.

went to Summit today and got a new ignition switch...$20.99
    it didn't correct my problem.
    to start and stop it...
turn the key to the on position.
go under the hood and hit the bump button to start car.
turn the key to the off position.
go to the rear and flip the kill switch.

    ...:yup:...

Brought the car home from the shop, and the mechanics at the shop say they can't reproduce the problem with the fans. I guess I will have to take it out and shake it down, and see what happens. The mech says he thinks it was moisture in a relay or contactor, but can't prove it. It has rained so much down here, that I can see how it could happen. It's raining now, so maybe tomorrow I'll take it out and see. He tightened the sway bar ends, and checked it over. Seems to be ok. We'll see!

Just move the bump button & kill switch to dash, problem solved. :tiphat:

With electric fan(wired direct to switch) and electronic ignition my Comet was "slow" to cut off. Once I wired in a fan controller problem was gone.

Took car out for first time since coming home from the shop. Shop owner said he didn't repair anything, so I made sure I had Hagerty's number, cell phone, and a little time. Took a 54 mile ride, but car didn't get hot enough to trip on the fan. When I got home, I let it run in the driveway for about 15 minutes, as it was about 180degrees. When it hit 185, fan came on as it should, ran just right. I'm gonna take it out later and see how it goes with a bit warmer outside temps. This is nuts, and its hard to trust the car will get me home. So it goes...….

Earl you need to go out and get stuck in a traffic jam with stop and go driving, if anything will make it heat up that will . Seems to me that I have never had a car that hasnt given me heating issues no matter what I have done to stop it, Taurus fan has been about the best thing that helped me

Played with my blast cabinet, finally got it up and running. I figured I might as well attack my control arms and see how it does. Cleaned them right up and I sprayed them with etching primer.
