I need to buy 2 new bucket seats for a 1971 comet gt. I not sure there are any vendor,s for maverick /comet,s that sell complete seats for our cars!??! if there is please list name of company. i was also wonder in 1969-1970 or 1971-1973 mustang bucket seats would bolt up to my 1971 bucket seats tracks, that the bolt holes to the bottom of the mustang bucket seats an then to the mountings spots an holes through stock locations on my comets floor board. be in same location and if this can be done on any of the mustang years i listed , would the comet tracks bolt to same bolt holes of they mustang seat an be the same spacing apart ,an then be able to go through my stock 1971 comet floor pans , holes to be mounted, or would u have to by a mustang seat use are 1971 comet track an do some welding or some fabrication work !?!? If any of these years mustang seat would work , can u provide name of company to buy the mustang seats from , i like to buy 2 complete seats, yes i know going to cost some $$$ .. thanks for your time.

Yes the Mustang seats have same bolt pattern as Maverick/Comet tracks as far as bolting them to the base of the seat, if you are asking if the Mustang seat tracks have same spacing as the Mav/Comet seats to the floorboard I cant answer that question. Several people have 71-73 Stang seats in their cars and look just fine

Why not fix the bucket seats you have? What is the issue?

Nobody that I have heard of makes new, complete seats even for the high profile GM muscle cars. Take your seats to a good upholstry shop and have them rebuilt. Short of the frames being totally destroyed they will come back just like new.

If you already have the seats you can buy replacement parts through a Mustang supplier. Just fix what you have. You're not going to find new ones.
