Welcome to the world of Mavericks this is great community.

Now as for being a Boss 302 many have claimed that being that they do not know about Fords engines, more than likely you just have a 302. Please tell us more about your car and plans for it, we always welcome pictures and have a garage section to post them in . Lots of reading on this site for just about anything you can do with your car

Welcome to the site from northeast Ohio!!! :tiphat:

What is it about your 302 that leads you to believe it is a Boss?

Pictures of your car and engine would be good.

No Maverick came from the factory with a Boss 302, so if it has one, someone swapped it in, in which case I'm sure the asking price for the car would be a lot.

    There's nothing there.
There might be a minimum post requirement before you can upload pics.

    :Welcome:

There is no minimum post requirement - there is a limit on file size and if the picture is big it must be resized.

If the picture is hosted someplace - use the link button on the tool bar that looks like a square with mountains (next to the smily face) - if the picture is on your pc use the upload a file button - that should do it.

Real quick look at a boss - Cleveland heads have an 8 bolt valve cover vs the Windsor having 6 bolts - and all the boss blocks used screw in core hole plugs (freeze plugs)

Well they are not 302 valve covers and are probably boss 302 or 351 cleveland valve covers . Perhaps it is a clevor motor ?

Dayum, shore 'nuff looks like a Boss 302 to me.

Valve covers are factory correct fo B02 & oil cap is is 1969 vintage.

Can we get a shot of the casting number on intake? Just between dist and carb.
