Hello all.. My name is JJ and I recently bought a '74 with 302 . Stoked about the forum and absolutely love the lines of this car. It needs some love but dont we all. Has some rust on the roof where the top was but otherwise I think its a good southern car. Plan on taking care of the roof but leaving the outer cosmetics (read patina) as they are. Happier to put money into the engine and interior. Brakes first and foremost..sheesh. Pics below.. feel free to comment as I am new to the Maverick world and any feedback is greatly appreciated..Thanks,
    JJ in Mile High

I remember seeing the car on eBay this week.

Since you are new to Mavericks, I can let you know this:

    1. The car originally had a vinyl top. that is what caused the roof rust.

    2. Those side mirrors are not Maverick mirrors. Not sure what they are off of.

Welcome from the Northeast! Definitely digging the color. Can't want to see where the build goes.

Nice car. Those big bumpers have got to go.
Can't wait to see your progress.

welcome from Portland, OR. I agree that small bumpers look the best, but there are a few guys on here that have modified their big bumpers to make them better looking. Its all an adventure, and this place is a good source for ideas and tips. Some guys around here know these cars better than Ford. I kid you not.
