I recently had a very bad experience with the installation of a decal for my grabber hood. I will not say where I purchased the decal because I do not want to discredit the vendor. During installation, the hood was lightly sprayed just like the instructions say. When the decal was placed on the hood, the decal separated from the paper which allowed the stripe around the edge of the decal to move and not be aligned with the decal. Also, the decal would not properly stretch where it starts up the side of the snorkel. The installation started out successfully but it ended up being a mess and was removed from the hood. The decal was ordered in a flat black color.
Has anyone else had a bad experience with the decal installation????
If you have had success with installing a decal, could you please tell me where you ordered your decal?

I don't think it was a decal issue....probably an installation issue. I know it takes a lot more liquid than one thinks in order to be able to move the decal around and get it in the correct spot. Then squeegee all the liquid out from underneath it.

I bet youre right. In paint school we used dawn soap mixed with water in a sprayer. We were always told to drench the area and to much spray was impossible. The trick was to soak the area and then lay out the decal.... Move it quickly and then slowy squeege out the water.

Should have just painted the Grabber stripe on. That's what I did years ago with a rattle can.
