How does it ride? Can't really find any drop springs other than going coilovers

I cut 2 coils off new front coils. The ride is about the same as my '06 F150 truck.

It is definitely a firmer ride than it was but seeing how everything else so far is still bone stock, it doesn't ride a whole lot different. I actually think one and a half coils is probably a little too much with the tires I have on there I'd get a little rubbing on a sharp turn. I got frustrated and didn't follow the old advice to cut a little off at a time and try it. I hope in the future I will be upgrading to full coilovers. I I'm running 235/45/17 up front. Tires fit in wheel wells but can rub on sharp turning when they swing out under the fender edge.

I ordered a set of "drop-in" GT40 valve springs from Alex Parts. I did a lot of reading/hunting to see if the stock springs would work on a flat tappet cam, and wound up learning the intake and exhaust valves have different length stems. Almost all say to throw the stock springs out, and this kit delivers uniform install heights with offset retainers. Yeah, GT40 heads are mostly obsolete.....but so is the rest of the car?? lol. Still wondering if, or how much to mill off the bottom of those heads.

Take the heads to a machine shop to have the chambers cc'd. Tell them what you want the chambers to be and they will figure how much to mill them. I believe the GT40p heads are already around 59cc.

Going to see if it causes any overheating issue B4 it gets any paint; have to decide to go black or clear it and leave it.

Started my cooling system upgrade, bought a cold-case aluminum radiator added their electric fan/shroud and their wiring harness. also bought a high volume aluminum water pump and a flowcooler thermostat. Had to stop because I didn't realize the water pump bolts are different from cast iron.

I went to pick and pull to get my fix of old car smell, and left with a 19 tooth C4 speedo gear. I downloaded a GPS speedo app on my phone.....I know the 16 tooth was off alot and the gear selector formulas said about 18.5 teeth. I put in an 18 but have not checked it yet.

The non P heads off Explorer/Mountaineer are around 65. I decided to drop em off today and get .040 milled off. I need to tear my engine down to see how far down the hole my pistons are before I buy head gaskets. I am hoping there will be some way to obtain about .035 squish.

took my SN95 bellhousing into the shop and cut a hole in it for the slave cylinder for the clutch. also fabbed up a support brace to reinforce that cast aluminum bellhousing.

Also opened up a package from 71gold with my T5 crossmember kit.. excited to get it fabbed up and finally stick this T5 in there.
