Power steering setup on my car is Borgeson conversion, always have the option of going with OE from someone who's removed their power setup for manual. Just know, you will have to most likely rebuild the entire system.

On my both my Comets I went with a Jones racing power steering set-up kit. While both do have rack & pinion which that steering set-up makes good even better !!! I imagine that in general it might be a good choice. Not cheap but good quality, light weight and very good improved response.
As for brakes I tried several different Kit's and converting other set-ups but on both car's ended up with 4 wheel disc from Wilwood. With the Wilwood brake's I also switched over to a hydroboost set up.
Again not cheap but a relatively easy set-up. I've done the chase part's, personal choice I now prefer the pay a little more and do it once n done. At least till I want something different.
    Good luck with you're choice

I find the Jones Racing site difficult to navigate.
Wilwood make great kits if that’s what you’re after.

I'm actually pretty computer illiterate so I called them and went thru Summit. The Wilwood's are good for a all in one kit. Course he could also go the late 90's , early 2000's Mustang Cobra disc set-up. There big rotor , I wanna say 14 in and everything will fit on a stock front set up. Used those on my daughter's 73 Comet back in 07 when we restored it. Some parts I did have to get from the Ford dealer but if ya got a buddy for the discount not bad. It all fit right in ! Many choices for sure....

Has anyone considered using the Jeep Grand Cherokee box from 1999-2004? They built tons of the things, the boxes are readily available, the Maverick pitman arm would fit, the gear ratio is quite a bit faster than the Maverick box, and it has an extended pitman arm shaft very similar to the originals. I suspect the commercially available, integral power steering conversion uses that same Saginaw box with the ears cut off and a plate to match the Ford chassis.
