Got a new set of Hooker 6901 ceramic coated headers to put on the Stallion, while I was putting the car in the garage to install them all of a sudden the steering got a little harder when I got it parked I noticed fluid on the ground looked under the car and it was coming from steering cylinder so I guess I will get to fix that now.
While I am under the car working I might as well pull the tranny and get it rebuilt to get rid of 2nd to 3rd flair and install motor plate that previous owner failed to put back on after motor was rebuilt .

Not much to speak of but did look at my exhaust manifolds that I was planning to sell and saw the passenger side is cracked. Good thing I wasn't going to use them!

I got the parts put in, but my sister has had to have surgery again, and had to wait to ring the wiring out and start it up. Weather is cooling off on Sat. so that will be when I get out there and hopefully button this thing up. Been too long since I have driven it. How's the floors going?

Finished my 3g alternator upgrade yesterday. Had to swap my improvised 351 alternator bracket for one off of a 72 302 Ranchero. I think I have the correct one now. NAPA was a total belt failure, but autozone hooked me up with a slightly larger belt as their part number system seems to be based on size. Vac advance was shot too, and replaced with one for a 66 289 Mustang (NAPA) that had the allen wrench adjustment. Seems to add 15 degrees advance at 14 in. vac. Will test drive today.

Went to a local car show/swap meet and found some pretty good parts for a fantastic price F5635555-6F5C-428D-AE6A-7C79FB6C02D6.jpeg

Wasn’t looking for this once exactly but I found it today and worked out a deal with the guy. It should work well!

Finally got a test drive in. Car runs a little smoother, and 2-3 shift got better....or is just my imagination? Seems to not slip as much with a vac pot that holds vacuum. Now I gotta read up to try and understand this.

Cleaned up the garage then put the engine and the C4 in the car. Next step is put together the engine mount kit from Rough Stuff and get the Tremec situated so I can make a cross member and put a hole in the floor. Also put the new bell housing on the transmission so I can bolt on the Rosehill slave cylinder and verify all is well there.

That's looking good! It's a ton of work especially when laying on your back. I still have a ways to go on mine but, I don't have to do it laying down thanks to some 2x6's that allow me to tip the car on it's side.
