Does this console and shifter indicator belong in any 72 comet?

I can make the small console work but the indicator will have to go.

Console is the Mav/Comet piece, the shifter may be correct but defiantly not the upper quadrant section. These cars use shifter similar, if not same as '69-'73 Mustang.

Great to know console belongs in car. I'll stick the shifter bezel on wall as a piece of art.

The only difference I have seen between Maverick\Comet shifters and 69-73 Mustangs is the shifter arm. The Mustang one on the right is a 67-68 but the arm has the same bend as 69-73. The Maverick/Comet on the left is straight. The straight arm may have been used to avoid contact with a bench seat. You may be able to use that shifter if it will accept a different bezel.

That floor shift assembly is from a 1967-68 Mercury Cougar. Top plate is Cougar only, shift lever and bucket is 1967-68 Cougar or Mustang non-console.

Resembles one off of a Government Motors vehicle. Camaro variation? looks aftermarket.

The only thing that scoop should be off of is, off of that hood.
