    Cant find those pics.....maybe nightmares? I thought I saw a lot of them back when I went through that install.

    I had one of those brackets on the Mustang, and it did pull the two rivnuts loose from the frame. Lowering the slave piston applies more leverage on those bolts. I put some 289/302 headers on the 351. The exhaust shop had to cut and angle the collectors down to clear part of the frame, but the headers were about an inch from the bottom of the car and did not need the drop bracket.

    Cleaned it up today. now to take apart and paint. Im sure Ill have some questions as I do.

    Looks like the pivot will be close to the position of the stock shifter. If it's higher should be very little, easily covered by a boot.

    I got some hooker 6901 ceramic coated headers. Started looking for bolts to put these on. Are all 302 header bolts going to fit? Did the holes change throughout the years of the 302 at some point? is there any special kind of bolt supposed to use with ceramic coated headers?

    Remove the bolt, measure how much thread is protruding and buy one that is that length. Put the sealing washer on it and run it in.

    dont have to worry about melting the rubber sealing washer?

    There is no rubber washer, the metal washer under the bolt head is the sealing washer. It's like a brake line and is probably a brass washer.

    Those heads are low compression smoggers, a set of Mustang/Truck E7TE from a '87-up would give a noticable increase in power. Should be a easy find as most of the Stang guys have upgraded.

    What do I need on the ass end of the tranny to get it to bolt to the cross member? How to get the tail to bolt to this..
