    Hi everyone.

I've just purchased my first Maverick, a 1971 two-door with a recently rebuilt 302 and C4. Since I live in the UK she took a while to arrive from California but it's definitely been worth the wait! Before making the trip over I commisioned the car to have a full respray, turning it from grey to this shade of british racing green. The previous owner removed the entire heater and fan system, which I would like to try and replace - does anyone have any tips and tricks for this? Is it worth trying to find an original maverick heater core and fans or go for a universal aftermarket one and try and make it fit?

    Thanks in advance!

Shipping will be very high to have a heater box sent to you.

Welcome to the forum from northeast Illinois. :Handshake:
Not only shipping costly, a 40+ year old box may be worthless when it arrives. I would venture to say; anyone who has removed one of these boxes have had to do some restoration repairs. I was lucky w/ mine -- was not in too bad condition.
Are you looking for combo ac/heat or heat only?

Thanks for your replies. I'm looking for a heater only, AC not really needed in the UK!
