What steering wheel you using? I'm trying to find something not too modern. Like maybe a two spoke. Let's see what you're using....

How did you get the metal parts/support bars of the wheel looking so nice? I need to do something w/ mine; it's has some rust speckles starting to show through.
Looks like you have redone the perimeter w/ leather wrap?

Mine looks just like this except the leather, it has the urethane grip. It would have been great if it was leather but I will take it as is since it has the horn rings! One day, it will be on the car rather than a shelf in the garage!

I hand sanded the metal then primed it and painted it with a factory metallic grey ford color. It came out fantastic. That is actually the factory leather on it.

I have had a few of that style and wasn’t happy with how thin they were. I much prefer the factory leather with the grips built in totally different feel! This one is even nicer, it will be replacing the one in the photo above. 0E68A856-CFFD-4DCE-A6E8-4D54CA305183.jpeg

My car has that factory sport wheel, satin black spokes, and custom leather stitched by Rusty (mercgt73) who is an awesome dude...

Never noticed the lack of finger grips! Still not going to complain though, I only paid $15 off Craigslist for it.

Just noticed you have a Versailles console, I would love to get my meat hooks on one of those!

Yeah, got that over 25 years ago. Hard to find. The Granada Ghia, and some Monarchs had 'em too...

I hand sanded mine a few years ago when I had column out, it looked good at the time, I applied clear coat and it looked good. Now I see rust speckles, think I will color coat this time around. Thanks for the info!
