Does anyone know what the heck this is? It was in the transmission pan when I removed it to change the fluid. I can’t see anywhere it would go. This is probably the 1st time the transmission fluid was changed so I’m thinking it may be some type of plug they used in the factory when they built it. I just don’t want to leave it out if it’s something important. Thanks!

:). And thankfully I saw someone else post something about the valve and the spring. When I removed the filter, I thought I heard something fall in the bucket but I didn’t think anything of it until I looked at a post that was talking about the valve and spring...I checked the bucket and sure enough, the spring and valve was there! THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT REPLIES TO POSTS... YOU GUYS SAVED ME AGAIN!
