Hey all, longtime lurker finally stepping out of the background. Been a maverick fan since seeing my first one back in the late 90s. I have a 74 I bought in the early 2000s and have recently acquired a 77. The 74 is now too far gone underneath (rear frame rotted through around the shackle bushing and tons of rot throughout) and will become a doner for the 77. My current plan is shoe horning a 351w into it (ambitious I know) and making a decent little street car out of it. The 77 currenty has a 250 six and auto, power brakes and power steering. The 74 had the 302 so there will be plenty of goodies left to use from it. I also plan on leaving the body the way it is as there is not much rot to be found besides the usual locations. Trunk is solid as can be, quarters are good besides a quarter sized hole on each side. Rockers are great as are the floors and subframe. I've been picking it over and am glad to say there is no body work on this one what so ever, just a fairly clean, unmolested car. I will most likely have some parts that I won't be using once I start taking the 77 apart. Anyways, I look forward to sharing some pics of the progress once parts start coming in!
