Lube the channels especially if they are new. Great job!

Was it leaking, whining, requiring additional effort turning or a combination of all?

Cleaned a little under the hood. Ford did a great job on the paint, there are runs all over. Looks like I painted it!

Apparently we also got the Maverick a stable mate. Buying a 65 Malibu SS for my wife. Needs love but that's ok.

Other than leaking it was working fine.

Made more progress, need to work out mounting points for the fuel lines and then I'll paint the rest.

got out early this morning for a ride. drove 110 miles, the first learning miles for the new ...Pro Flow 4 system.
after about 30 miles the temp ran about 191 degrees. thinking that wasn't bad for a 180 degree T-stat with 92 degrees outside. stopped at D Q parking lot to check the stats on the tablet that came with the system. going through the settings and realized I had the fans turned off (they are controlled by the ECU)...:bouncy: flipped them on and the temp went down to 185 with the A/C on. so I'm really impressed with the 191 just being cooled by the E-waterpump and Champion 2 row radiator...:thumbs2:

Finally got the car on jackstands and was able to inspect suspension/steering/brakes. Cleaned the front rotors, wiped down all of the oil so i could find the leaks, and installed LED lights for the marker lights/instrument cluster.

Installed a new chrome C4 pan w/ drain plug, Lubelocker reusable gasket, filter, and new ATF.

For anyone who has dim instrument panel lights or marker lights, these work amazing and are SUPER bright. Only $10 on Amazon, 2 day shipping (which is great if you’re impatient!)

I used the amber ones, and will definitely be picking more up.

Now i should assess that coolant leak near the upper radiator hose...

Decided to try out a new set of headlights, they seem just as bright as my previous lights, this pair has halo running lights with a turn signal function

Working on getting my driveline angles sorted out. I calculated that I needed a 7* shim to get my pinon to be equal and opposite of the angle at the front yoke. Sounded like alot, but measured and checked 3 times. So I put 1.5" lowering blocks in my chopsaw, and cut 7* off the bottom. The driveline vibration is still there, but now it sounds and feels exactly like my one and only experience with a mis balanced driveline. Gonna check it all again to see if those angles I cut are giving me a wedgie.
