Heater core won't come out.

    I have a 77 mav heat/ac . Cant get flapper door off to remove heater core. Does any know how. I cant find anything on 77 ac/heater rebuild

    F7869429-1743-435F-9F71-11E22BD61EA8.jpeg The flapper door is inside an assembly which is a friction fit. I take it you already have removed the the front fibreglass cover? Disconnect the cable from the flapper’s arm and give the assembly a straight pull out. The foam seals are holding it in place.
    If anyone else knows if the 77 AC is different from a 73 non AC in regards to the flapper door assembly please let us know. The photo is from a non-AC 73.

    Non AC cars are TOTALLY different than a car with Factory AC.

    Pretty much the entire heater/AC box needs to come out of the car
