I like their rattle can paints; seem to cover better, less spatter better than most I've used and don't get paint all over your fingers at spray tip. They are a little more expensive but worth it to me.

In 2018, I did a quick assembly of a Troyer pavement Modified circle track car that I am restoring - I got it rolling and needed to, at least, paint a door and scotch tape the number to it just for the show - the doors were stripped to bare metal and a coat of Eastwood self etching primer was used - then simple quick rattle can paint was applied - after the show, I went to strip down both doors again and the red came right off but that Eastwood primer was a real bear to remove - I would say it worked 110% great :)

I've used 3 of Eastwood's products and was not satisfied with any of them. Their Rust Encapsulator is terrible. POR15 blows it away. I'm not saying that none of their products are good, just the 3 that I used...

I have used a lot, and I mean A LOT, of Eastwoods products over the years. Even bought one of their brand named MIG welders.

I have found all their stuff to be of very high quality and any problems I have had were mostly me either not prepping a surface properly or pushing a product beyond its designed purpose. Some of the products I really liked are the specialty coatings. Silver cad, radiator black, underhood black, anodized finishing, trunk spatters, inner frame coating, any of these specialty coatings are all great. The rust encapsulator is not the best out there. While I have found it good, others like Rust Bullet are better. The encapsulator will not stick to some surfaces as a top coat. On bare metal it was fine.

Thank you everyone I’m still not sure on what direction I need to go with the rust issue I have. I will post some pictures tomorrow. I don’t want to prep the surface until I got a product in hand so I don’t have to do the area twice.
    Thank you

best case with rust is , sandblast , epoxy prime , do any repairs over epoxy ,urethane prime and paint. If that’s not possible clean extremely well (very clean surface) then rust bullet ! a lot better than por 15 . Just my opinion and I’ve done it both ways and good luck with each ,

I’ve used their after blast acid etch before priming and it has done a great job. Neutralizes the flash rust.

    Great pictures ............ :thumbs2:

I'll tell you, that is way beyond what Encapsulator can handle - but it will be in the realm of Rust Bullet. Many hours of scraping and a wire brush cup on an angle grinder are in your future .......... :)

Here are a couple pictures from my past to give you an insight to the power of Rust Bullet. Been 10 years now and the rust never returned.

That looks great!!!! I be been looking at the rust bullet stuff the last few night. So here goes a dumb question ?
1 So after I clean with a wire brush and grinder.
2 clean with a pre paint solvent.
3 what rust bullet product would you use??
4 would be another rust bullet product??
    5 epoxy primer
    6 body work

I've never used Rust Bullet. I hear it's very good. I can tell you that the only way POR15 is coming off is if you grind it off with a sander. The Eastwood literally peeled off. Their exhaust manifold paint was terrible too. POR15 makes that as well and it's been awesome...
