So I bought a Wilwood’s Front brake kit 140-13477 Which I was going to install after my engine swap was complete. But now I’m stuck because my headers still won’t fit between the shock towers even with them notched also the oil pan hits on the crossmember. I was thinking of doing a mustang II front end but then I can’t use the Wilwood brakes which are made for the stock spindles and it’s past the return date which is 30 days. Selling them is probably my best option. Any ideas?

No need to install a Mustang II front end or sell your brake kit because your engine installation isn't going well. Something is not right with the swap. Tell us more about your engine swap. Is it a 302 based engine? What headers are you attempting to install? Are you using a front sump pan?

Welcome, and more information please. If it's a 302/5.0-based motor you just need the right headers. If it's a 351-based engine you can shave the shock towers. If it's one of the 4 cam motors you'll need a shoehorn and one of these:

That monster press reminds me when I worked at Int'nl Harvester "Tractor Works", after high school. l do recall having a lot of the machinery powered from shaft/belt from ceilings. Equipment was about outdated at the time; I worked only a few months, swing shifts. I was glad when they laid me off -- wouldn't have went back if was recalled.

I originally had a 302 then went to a 351w that’s why I modified the towers but now. I’m doing a ls swap which is just cheap horse power.

OK, that makes sense. the ls-architecture engines are wider than a sbf and Mavericks are very similar in width between the shock towers to a 64-65 Mustang or early Falcon.

Several here have done an LS swap. Do a search You'll find em. Sure they would be willing to point you in the right direction.

After all the modifications required for an LS swap, I don't believe your power is going to be very cheap.

Eh I feel like even after all the modifications to get it to fit it’ll still be cheaper. Plus to me the ls is just a more reliable motor than the 351w I had in it.

Nice I just came back from Austin and I saw a maverick the exact same color as the one in your display picture.
