Met up with Ken (mavgrab302) on Saturday and picked up a bunch of parts left over from his maverick. Took me a few hours to sort through all the stuff! 5640CED6-D548-478A-A618-7E6F22639C58.jpeg

Plugged in a fresh battery, gave her a whirl. Spins great, no sparky spark. Points probably. Has oil psi.

The factory"?" 8 track tapes player was also tested. Works like the day it was installed. Finally a use for all those tapes I've collected.

Found 4 hubcaps in the trunk and installed them. Cleaned out trunk. Put a spare in there. 1607297529772.jpg

8-tracks were out of favor by early 1980s.

Check the pinch roller before inserting, on a few the rubber has turned to goo....

Figured I would start a thread for all those Christmas wish lists, especially for all those things that may not yet exist. Maybe the holiday magic can help. Kids can't have all the fun...

I was going to say that "all I want is a reinforcing rail like what my 5.oL oil pan has, but cut for my C4 pan".....then decided to do a google search to see if I could find some pics to represent what I was talking about, and low and behold, IT DOES EXIST:

Promptly ordered my Christmas present to myself. :bananaman:

p.s.: I think this is just the pan fill cut, which is what I have.

I’m getting ready to install the sniper on mine. Do you remember which wire you used to run the pink sniper wire to for 12V hot while cranking?

installed m/c in my 73 mav..,HOWEVER, found an old 'mood ring' stuck in front seat....after giving it to wife, noticed its' murky hue turned a nice green when she is happy... when she' s NOT happy , it leaves an angry reddish mark....usually above my eye.

Drove comet to work yesterday in 35 degrees weather.

No heat in comet yet but car ran damn nice in cool weather on 30 mile commute..

I,m gonna have to change my train of thought. Drive more in cooler months.

Gonna get them heater hose installed!

Sometimes that's the best part, just driving it.
