My 77 Comet has the original steering wheel, but it's cracked (Shocker) and the plastic for two of the three screws that hold the horn button on is broken.
I imagine some people have had a similar problem. Ideas? Restoration? brand new wheel?

I have one from a mid '80s Fox Mustang on my Comet, no I'm not paranoid about it being a Stang part.

You do have to watchout, most of the pre '82 Fox stuff has no provisions for horn.

'74 to '78 is the year you want for the factory sport steering wheel...

Same steering wheel I have on mine, just changed out the center emblem. Picked up at Carlisle one year for $35. Right next to it was the same steering wheel from a Mustang Cobra with the Cobra emblem and they wanted over $100 for it. :yikes:

That’s nothing...they are going for crazy money now. A non sport grip will bring $150-$200 on eBay and a nice leather sport grip will bring $250-$300+ all day long. They are getting harder to buy now as everyone wants an arm and a leg for one.

    Thanks for the offer!
I needed a red or black one, so I went with an after market one.
