Hey all. I haven't been around the Maverick world for a long time but recently acquired by pure chance one that I'm looking forward to getting back on the road real soon. 1975 4 door, factory a/c, 250. Basically it's a time capsule that has been garaged for the last 20 years since the previous owner passed in late 1999 and forgotten. Very minimal rust, perfect paint and vinyl roof, absolutely excellent interior, brakes even still work. Very good bones overall. It's absolutely amazing how well preserved it is for the amount of time passed. Now at my friend's rod shop so we can get started soon on it's road to recovery. Did I say that I picked it up for a song as the family just wanted it saved from the crusher. Bonus.
Nice!, I like More-Doors', Looks clean enuff to tune up and cruise. 1975 is so long ago automotive wise - most in public probably will think it's a 4 dr Grand Torino - ,,,
Welcome back. I'd call that a wash and go compared to much of the crusty old junk I see people resurrecting.
I wish it was that simple. 20 years of sitting has taken it's toll though it could be very much worse than it is. The great thing is what I don't have to do to this car and what doesn't have to be replaced.
