You will need Manual Pitman arm from 70-74 here is link for part numbers, read the whole thread........

look for stamping on manual pitman D0DA-3590-AB or D3DA-3590-AB
the actual Ford part number is D0DZ-3590-A
you will probably have to place an ad for a used one, as new ones are very hard to come by........
you can try contacting these guys, do not know if they still have for sale or how much........

and manual center link, which you can buy new.........

You can still reuse your tie rods and idler arm, if they are still in good shape and the power steering box, however it will be more effort to turn, since it has quicker ratio, 4 1/2 turns lock to lock compared to manual steering box which is 5 1/2 turns or more?

Actually approx 3¾ vs 5½ for manual. Steering from stop will be noticable stiffer.

You can buy a adapter/converter & retain your original P/S components.

The adapter looks just like the original steering linkage on the 1926 Chevy I had. When I saw that I knew I wasn't using something that was designed during the dawn of the automotive age! It took some searching but I was able to scare up all the parts I needed.
