I was doing a search, and came across this thread. I bought a Mod Maverick new in 1973 from Jerry Watson Ford in Ft. Wayne IN. It came with a high rise 4 barrel intake with 600 Holley, 12" Marsh Racing tires on the rear with American Slotted rims, Thrush side pipes, and the Mod Maverick decals. It was Grabber Blue with silver accent trim paint.... sorry, no photos ...nice car! Like a dumbass ... I traded a Daytona Yellow 69 Chevelle SS L78 with a bench seat in for it!

The Bearcat was a Mercury Comet GT. It also was a Dealer installed option. Side Pipes, Different wheels and fog lights. Also had Bearcat script and it appears that it was in different places on the body. Depending on which dealer installed it.

That Mod Maverick is pretty badass. Definitely has that 70s stance and wheel/tire combo. Ankle-burner exhaust. Definitely has a lot of attitude.

Love it!!!! .... (except the shackles, yikes, we were dumb back then. LOL .)

I just heard there’s one that was purchased at Jack Keller Ford in Walker Michigan in 1975 that’s been sitting in a garage in Grand Rapids Michigan for 25 years.
