Well wasn't on my Comet but it was on my trailer. So those of you with car trailers (I have one of those too) or especially travel trailers, be advised, they're called "China Bombs". First one blew 100 miles from home. Put my spare on and headed back. Other blew after 60 miles and 40 miles from home. Had to use the first one to drive into town and get a new tire while the wife stayed with the trailer.
They were Class D tires, properly inflated and only 3 1/2 years old and less then 3,000 miles on them. So check those trailer tires also.

sounds like the wrong tires. You have to not only use tires for trailers, not car tires and ones that are rated for the load you carry. Even cars have a speed rating that most people never pay attention to. Most tires are "S" rated (112mph) or like your ZL1 Vettes have ZR rated (186+MPH). Tire type and usage should always dictate what tire you buy, road driving, weather, etc and not your wallet. (when you can afford it)

I use Class C on my dual axle car trailer, 50PSI and Class D single axle, on my travel trailer 65PSI. Low air pressure will heat a tire up fast.

Make sure your spare tire fits over the bigger hubs as well.

Trailer ones usually are 3"+. My car trailer is a Ford Bronco bolt pattern and center hole, while my travel trailer is a Ford car with a 3" center hole. And remember trailer brakes and bearings need servicing to.

One piece. Its in. Now I need to take it back out and pad the tiny 70 tunnel. Then trim it up. I dont like how the runner foot mat kinda turns up the tunnel. I couldnt move it down anymore or the floor molding under the seat would not line up.

Recently had changed out my fuel line when I went to EFI and ran AN line. Continued to have a strong smell of gas in my garage. Decided to change the line out to PTFE. Pain to make the lines, but totally worth it, no more gas smell!
