    Today mmmm raining but got the chance to add the air filter elbow for the gas tank charcoal canister this is what I did hope it helps….

    I think I'm missing something here. Shouldn't the charcoal canister be connected to manifold vacuum, for example by putting a T in the PCV line?

    In my maverick 1975 the line from the canister goes straight to the air filter is a line from the gas tank to the canister and the other line goes to the air filter the filter element stops any debris if the canister start to fail some new cars and newer have a canister with vent electric valves but ours are simple

    Miguel has it correct, charcoal canister was connected to OEM air cleaner housing via flexible tubing.

    Thinking if you connect the charcoal canister to a vacuum source possibly will create a big problem suctioned debris from the canister to the Intake and possible damage some engine parts

    I see, early cars with charcoal canisters are passive, but the systems sprouted a purge valve over time to flush it with fresh air and pull it into the engine.
