I got my history 999 report from Ford on my 1974 LDO. While it does list that it has the Luxury Decor Group.....it also says it has: B/Cloth & Vinyl Bench Seat

Under that it says it has Silver blue - Interior Trim

Does anybody else have a history 999 report on their LDO Maverick/Comet? I wonder if I call them if they can correct the mistake about the bench seat???

    Just curious.

No, but how do you get one and what is the cost? Would be neat to have.

Here's the numbers I found to get the 999 report. I haven't done it yet but will try it tomorrow.

Craig, when they mistakenly reported my Mav's as Cougars they were very accomodating in re-researching the VIN's, and got it fixed for me immediately. I'd definitely give it a try if you know they made a mistake.

Well....I called Ford on 2/28/04 and told them that my report should say "Bucket Seats". They said they would look into it and get back with me by mail. In the mail today I had an entirely new letter that said my car came with Vinyl Bucket Seating. I didn't get any explanation...just a new letter. Oh well...at least it is correct now....I just wonder why it was wrong the first time?

The way they explained it to me Craig, IIRC, is that sometimes the person doing the research doesn't drill down deep enough into the archives and they end up with mismatched information. Basically, somebody gets lazy.
