Hello everyone!! I’m still trying to figure out how to do this forum lol. I’m gonna ask a question that I’m sure that has been asked a million times, but here goes. I’m gonna put a 1965 mustang bumper on my comet. I saw a picture of one online with one one and I have a buddy that’s building a 65 mustang and he brought his front bumper over to let me try it out and it doesn’t look bad so I’m going with that on the front. However he didn’t have a rear bumper yet and I looked and they look very similar to a small bumper maverick bumper and the 65 thru 70ish mustangs. My question is will the mustang in that year work on my comet? The mustang bumper’s are way cheaper than the maverick/comet rear bumper’s. Thanks for the input.

Mustang bumper is shaped different. The reason Mustang bumper is cheaper is because it's thinner metal and cheap chrome.

I see the difference now. What year is that number I. The picture? And about how much fabrication is needed? Sorry I haven’t been on here in forever. Had a few things that had came up and just now getting back to the project.

You can now buy small Maverick bumpers, no need to try and rig it.

Don't go with a Mustang rear bumper. Not worth the effort.
