That ugly 74 comet front bumper

    Looks nice! Is it really that simple, just moving back one set of holes? Why did they put that other set of holes there? Did you have to trim the valance or was there enough space for it to slide forward in the bumper?

    I trimmed the valance. If you flip it over there is a metal brace, just cut along the brace.

    One doesn't trim the VALENCE. One has to trim the stone guard.

    When I tucked my front bumper, moving it to the next set of holes would have been far too much. I cut 2 inches (1-7/8") out of the brackets and had the mounts welded back on. Came out perfect. I don't want the hood sticking out further than the bumper, and I don't want the bumper covering the side marker lights...
