    Hay guys my name is Harrison i some advice on putting the right electric distributor and electric coil in my 1970 6cylinder Maverick 200 3.3L

    Hey this is Harrison i ordered a electric distributor from jegs and I will get my mechanic to put it on my 1970 Ford Maverick

    Hi Harrison, welcome to the board.
    Craig was right - where you had posted was an old thread. I moved your question to a new thread of your own. More people will see it here and it is the right way to post questions.

    Many stock engine owners have found an easy upgrade is to just put in a Pertronix unit to get rid of the points. It is easy and keeps the look of a stock distributor. Of course there are lots of aftermarket options.
