Somebody stuck a bumper sticker on the rear window of our Mav. Says something to the effect of "FIRE, POLICE, AMBULANCE, CALL 911". Well thats just dandy, but it's really got to go.

This thing is very weathered and baked on by the sun. Someone told me to heat it up and it would come right off... yea... more like it just tears into little pieces.

Anyone know a good way to get this thing off? I have heard of using a razor blade, but wouldn't that scratch the window?

A new single-edge razor blade won't scratch the glass ... just scrape it off ...

single edged razor blade and use a handle (buy one...only like 3 bucks at ace hardware) and get some baby oil....put the baby oil on the sticker and start scraping....it will come right off and not hurt anything....

i would highly recommend wearing gloves and try to keep the baby oil off the razor blade holder. (unless you like bleeding)

if you dont want to use the oil....then just scrape it off....

it should not scratch the glass.....it will make a mess with all the little pieces of sticker... and find out who put it on your car and ....well use your imagination..

Goo Gone will work, as will most any citrus based adhesive remover. Carb cleaner will also, but you'll have to be careful.

I worked at a car dealership for a few years, a razor is the best way to go. Just slide the blad along the glass and under the sticker and it will be off before you know it.

Razor blade and some acetone will work great.

I love WD-40. That stuff will do anything. Check out this website for some of the things WD-40 can be used for.http://www.twbc.org/wd40.htm

Just be happy it ain't on your bumper! I remember when I was a little kid and your family went to an amusement park or zoo or anything like that they would actually put bumper stickers on your car while you had it parked. I guess they considered a souviner and advertisement for them all in one ...

We had a "SEE ROCK CITY"bumper sticker on my dad's 64 Galaxie for years. They finally started using ones that were wired on so you could take them off right away.
