Maybe should be in tech or cosmetic or drag forum so I post it here Got some great arm rest and door panels from Jerry, only problem is they hit the roll cage. Now I know some folks bend the roll bar to accommadate easy in and out and inturn also cleared the arm rest, but thats not a option for me. So was wondering what others have done to address this issue? Thanks, JF.
Here ya go John...you might look at trying this, it's what Jerry is talkin about, it may not be that difficult. It works well. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=12152

John how about some like the ones on page 141 of this online catalog http://www.bigdogstreetrods.com/pdf/catalog.web1.pdf
This is an early car correct? That place is not to far from my work. If your concerned about how well it will cover where that factory arm rest is I could go take an early model arm rest over an compare it's coverage if they have them in stock. But I think your more concerned about thickness.
about 1 inch...maybe? might be a little more or a little less. I can tell you this much. the little plastic piece that goes on before the actual armrest.....hits the roll bar without the padding piece even being there.
