Fellow car lovers, I am happy to be here in this forum... I have a 71 powder blue maverick with 30,126 original miles. I also have a problem with the fuel tank and lines. I would like to replace the tank lines and sending unit, but have not been able to find any... Any suggestions?
I just replace the fuel lines in my 71. I went to the parts house and bought two 5 ft sections of 3/8 tubing. I removed all the old lines to use as a pattern. You'll need a good tubing bender and cutter and it's not hard to duplicate the original lines. I probably spent about 2 hours total time doing it. You can buy a new sending unit at AutoKrafters. Here's a link that should take you straight to their Mav parts. http://www.autokrafters.com/tpls/results.tpl?cart=111292455733958Good luck with the car.
The tanks are not reproduced so you will have to get your redone or convert over to a Mustang tank. http://www.maverick.to/gtu_faq.php The lines are reproduced and available from Right Stuff Detailing. www.rightstuffdetailing.com

I am in Leesburg Ga... Would love to make the trip to Commerce; however I have a commitment already, that I cannot change. I will get some pictures posted out here. Thanks for replying.
