Mav Update III

    Howdy, some people have been asking for an update on my Mav, so here it is. I moved to Montana about the time I blew a hole in the water jacket of my newly completed heads in the exhaust runner (Yep, ported them myself!!!). Anyway, after scrounging up for another set of 69 windsor heads and getting them ready, I decided to buy a set of TF Track Heat aluminum heads (this was about tax return time). Now to make a long story short, I have the motor put together and should have it running by this weekend. I am looking forward to finding out if the heads made a difference or not...soon. I have a show coming up soon and hope to have the rest of the car finished by the end of the month. I gotta clean her up some more but here are some pics, i'm pretty proud of her, she came through ok...

    Thanks guys...now I just have to convince my wife that it is not her car! I was hoping the new 71 would do it but now she keeps asking what I am going to do with my Maverick!

    Riporter - Yes, thank you very much!! I plan on having it rebuilt...did it need it or do you have any idea? Hope to fire her up soon... Been a long time coming...

    Jim it worked perfectly when I removed it...that front float may stick on ya when ya fire it off...just hit it with a rubber mallet and it will be fine :D
