Give me a hell yea? Don't worry Yellow72Mav, there will be a black bomb there next year to. If we don't get it painted by then.
Great pics...thx for sharing Ray... I stopped and checked out the black Mav on the way out too Sunday...for a wiz of a body guy like you it would be worth it...the rear quarters were full of plastic and the advertised 351W was a 302... I popped the hood....that killed it for me.
man who owns that black comet gt, that made my stomach turn whata nice restoration....looks like 1971 all over again
Well, I didn't pop the hood on it but if I were to buy it I would prefer to still have a 302 in it. That car would be a great candidate for a 347 stroker...and like you said, some body work and a nice paint job. I bet the car could be bought for less than $3000 and that would be a deal.
Ray; thanks for the pics. Great to have you here for the event, and you and Debbie are cordially invited to come over here any time! Thanks again, Earl
Robert, I saw the car as I was leaving and took some photos. Here's a pic of the sign with his phone number.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed the pics...I certainly enjoyed taking them and getting to see all those Mavericks and Comets in one place. I took about 250 photos and may post them on a website for everyone to view...will let you know. It's been years since I've seen this many Mav/Coms together. I remember back in the late 70's we had our own local Mav/Com car club with 12 local cars. Yeah, we had it bad even back then. The sad thing is it now takes an event like this to gather up that many Mav/Coms. I also want to say again how much I enjoyed meeting all you guys there, especially the surprise visit from the ever famous Mavaholic. You guys are the greatest and I am more than ever looking forward to the Nationals in Kentucky. See you then!!!:bananaman
