I need the wiring diagrams for my '73 comet. I just inquired with autokrafters and was told that the shop manual contained "electrical & wiring information." I hesitated to purchase it because I know many manufacturers do not provide detailed schematics in their shop manuals. These can sometimes be found in some sort of supplemental manual. My question is does the shop manual contain what I need? Or perhaps even better, does anyone have this information already saved to a pdf file?

What part of the electrical system are you looking for? I believe I have manuals on CD for 73. Bought them for my Cougar not sure if the Comet schematics are in the same set.

I'm in the process of wiring for EFI and am integrating my donor car's harness to the comets. At several points it would be helpful to have the '73's schematics. Such as, ignition (steering column), lighting, windshiled wipers, climate controls, underdash, etc... Even if your CD doesn't have the comet specific schematics I'd bet that many of these circuits are the same as the cougar. I'd be quite grateful for any assistance. Thanks

Robert, I'd be stoked if you could scan and send me any of the schematic(s) as I described in my previous reply. My car is a '73 comet 302 no a/c. I'm prepared to send cans of PB Blaster to anyone helps!

Acronridgeman, That's exactly what I need. Thanks. I had been to that site and can't understand how I missed the wiring. The section is even called "Comet Wiring Diagrams." I must be drinking to much coffee or something. I was a little bummed though. When trying to open the pdf for the '73 it comes up "page cannot be found." Figures. Anyway, I've printed out the '72 and the '74 and it appears the circuits I'm messing with didn't change much if at all. Thanks again.

    Hi Townsman,
The site with the wiring diagrams is mine. The reason you could not pull up the '73 Comet diagram was due to a misspelling of the file name when I uploaded it. I fixed it, so if you want to look at the '73 diagram now you can. :)

Thanks Mark! I never expected to find these on-line and now I'm being provided personal service from the source himself. Awesome. I had contemplated this project for quite a while. Once I found people such as you and the ones that hang around this place my confidence went up a couple notches.

Thanks to all that freely share information and their experiences in the hopes of helping others. I may not be able to payback all the favors, but I'll be sure to pass them on!
