Frank; shoot me a pic of your conversion, and give me the particulars. I think I might want to try this, in a bit. Glad it worked out for you. Did Barnett's have the FlowTechs, or did you just want the Hookers? Take care,

    Earl

the pullys came off an "'85 crown vic."... i was sure they wouldn't fit because when i walked out of office into the yard, the car was sitting there with the hood up and the rad. removed. this was "too easy".:yup: ...frank...:bouncy:

earl, "hookers and hot 'lanta just seemed to go together" :bouncy: J/K... i layed the flow techs and hookers on the counter and the hookers were "flatter". don't know if that makes install any easier or not... with the space we are working in i thought it might help.

tip of the day....mount pullys...make sure they are seated to the motor... then take a straight edge (yard stick) and check the alignment...place it on the face of the "crank" pully and across the face of the "alt." pully. then from "crank" pully to "water pump" pully...(y)

Frank; thanks. I will check into this. I think the A/C may throw a monkey wrench into the works, but I will give it a try! Later,

jp, in my case I went to serpentine partly because I was having no luck at all finding a v-belt water pump pulley that would line up properly after I removed the power steering. Serpentine's also less prone to slippage. That, and I think it looks cool. :D

Ok, when you put the serpentine pulleys on, did you have to redrill the water pump pulley? I got some serp pulleys today from someone, and the spacing on the water pump pulley holes is larger than the old one. Seems like I have heard they were a larger bolt pattern.

What I'm trying to decide is, should I slot the existing holes or drill 4 new ones in between the old ones?
