Hi all, Been gone for a while. I just brought my new maverick home today, after the last one went to the junkyard. Not my idea(some people just do not understand a RED LIGHT means "STOP") but I guess she knows now. Any way looking foward to starting over again. To be tell you the truth I didn't ask what year it was (70-72) small bumper, one owner, radio delete, for $375.00 but it does need paint. For that price I think I can paint her. And she is baby blue just like the last one. Guess I can call her BABY BLUE II. Would have been back on sooner but without my mav. I felt out of place.

Congrats on finding a new maverick!!!

I have a 73 in the same baby blue, but the color actually is City of Chicago department of streets and sanitation blue.
Every garbage truck, sewer and water truck, tree trimming truck and service vehicle is the same color.

I would never paint my Maverick any other color because everytime I look at it, I am reminded of home and also I think the color is good looking.

Hope to see you and your maverick at the next round-up.
    Tony

PS That is, if I get this beater running by then.:D

I understand, I did go the next day and pay for the car and get the paper work. It is a 70, and I'm glad to have found it. Where in Ga. are you located? I am only about 4 hrs. from Atlanta in Shelby, NC. If you are close enough may be we can try to set up a Maverick-Comet cruse-in somewhere between. Just let me know :D

Maybe we can try to set something up for next summer around Charleston, Isle of Palms, SC. on the coast. If you have never been there, Isle of Palms has a killer beach. White sand, clean water, probably one of the nicest I have seen on the east coast if you like a family type beach. Let me know and we will try to set it up. Maybe start in Savanna, then Charleston, and on to Myrtle Beach, (like a 3 day sight-seeing coast cruse). If we could get a hole group crusing the coast it may be a good way to meet everyone and have a mini vacatison at the same time.:D :D
