    Hey fellas,

I've found that my child's car seat doesn't fit well in the back of some classics (buckets and bench not deep enough).

Are there smaller car seats that you can buy that would fit better?

Perhaps they make smaller ones which fit in modern day coupes?

I have run into a similar problem. My daughter has upgraded to a buster with the back now which allows it to fit better but it instructs a shoulder harness to go with it. But the car lacks a shoulder harness. I tried to go with the seat that is optional with the 5 point or a shoulder but it does get a little cramped for her with her legs and she is getting too tall for the 5 point harness. So I have been just going with booster with the back and lap belt. At least it is better nothing. I am insterested to see what people have to say here.

In my experience, the seat belts in a Maverick don't hold a car seat tight enough to keep it from moving around.

I did that once (the booster with the lap belt) but if you're just running a lap belt, it isn't helping anything because the point is to position the shoulder belt away from the kid's neck, so I just let my kids strap in with the lap belts in the back. Hell I survived my childhood wearing nothing but lap belts, along with most people on here I'm sure. It's better than nothing, regardless of the people who say it's more dangerous because it can cause a back injury in a bad accident. In a severe crash, a broken back is better than being a projectile through the windshield!
