Well.......it has finally happened. We have found a Shelby Maverick and it is now sitting in my garage....plus.......it has a Boss 302 to boot!!!

I had a person contact me a while back with a Maverick for sale. He told me on the phone that his brother bought the car in Texas back in the mid 80's and brought it back to Indiana with him in 1992. The story goes that the seller brother was told that the car came from Mexico. NOW I'm interested!!!

I went over and looked at it and bought it on the spot. I couldn't get it loaded on my trailer fast enough. Still need to do some documnetation on it......but it looks legit.

WARNING!!!!!!!!! This car is ROUGH..........but it must be SAVED!!!

Here are some pictures. Once I get the hood to open again....I will post some pictures of the Boss 302 motor.

    Here is a side shot.

The first clue: Comet front bumper and stone guard..........Grabber grill.........standard Maverick Hood. And this car is NOT a Grabber.

LOL, if it was a Shelby you'd be contradicting your own explanation of Shelby Maverick differences. A Boss 302 would be nice to have though(y).

    Million questions here
    What trans does it have?
If you color sanded it, I wonder what color lies beneath?
    What is the Vin#?
    What is the rearend?
    Does it have bucket seats?
What is the date code on the block?
    What carb does it have?
    Can I have it?

Why is it a 4 lug front end and a 5 lug rear end? It looks like a chicomobile to me.

Is this April 1st????? I think the 4 lug front would dispel anything from the factory, but who knows??? Maybe Marti AutoWorks.

I hope its legit also...But I suspect its a car someone built up with a "theme" as many people did in the `70`s and eighties. The mad Duck ?
