74 Comet here, it had a C4, trying to put in a toploader 4 speed overdrive, New 302 block, crank and cam (ford explorer high torque) from Ford Racing, Speed Pro Forged Pistons (around 9.5:1 compression) Edelbrock Performer intake, Demon 525 Road Demon Jr, PLanning on a rear end from a T-bird Turbo Coupe and wheels from a 2003 Mustang GT...The Real Tough part...Trying to remember that this is for my Wife.

I have a 71 GT parts car if that counts. Wish I would not have two mav projects or I would do the comet instead .

74 Comet, 2 door, 302, in many pieces and its about to get worse. Pulling the engine and tranny soon so I can finish welding. I'm going to trial fit a 351 in there, see if I feel like fooling with it or not. Debating between a Tremec, AOD or C4. C4 is cheap and here, and easily upgradable, AOD has good milage, Tremec is what I want, but aint cheap... Probably going to beef up the AOD a bit and get it rolling again.

I need a V8. This daily driver 4 cylinder thing is getting to me...

I own a 73 comet working on it with and for my daughter. She loves hot rods and her comet! She named it bad comet simply because when people firt saw it they made many
bad comments about it. they arn't laughing now buy boy are they looking! will hsave the motor in in about six weeks. when we are finished it will be the BAD COMET! This forum has been a great help to me and I highly recommend these folks if you have a comet or maverick! Bad Comet!
