I posted a picture a while ago with my new wheels on, but the car was too high. Well I finally got around to lowering it. Cut 1-1/2 coils out of the front (got lucky, it came out to the perfect height and doesn't rub), put 1-1/2 inch lowering blocks in the back. I have also been working on the body, trying to get it all one color (primer for now) all I have done so far is the hood and drivers front fender. And I finally got my front bumper on there too. What do you guys think? I know how much you guys love pictures, so here is a few.
Car looks great. I think you hit the ride height perfect! Those wheels look great too! Did you see the article they did in Car Craft last month with the Primered Camaro? Looked pretty sharp - they even put the Hockey Stripe on the primer.... Keep up the good work!
The tires are 245 40 17's on the front and 255 45 18's on the back. I like the primer look too, it's probably going to be in primer for a while, till I can afford a nice paint job. I didn't see the article on the primered Camaro in Car Craft, might have to look for that, I like how it looks in primer. - Jason
Beautiful!!! I just put new springs on mine, from a 351 motor car, and I am riding way too high. I plan on puttin in 225/60r15 in front, then cutting a coil or two. What coils did you put in. A pic of mine after the coil swap, and with worn 195/60r15s...
The coils are just the stock V8 coils that were in there, we just cut 1 and 1/2 coils out of them to get that stance.
Hotrod, it looks great!!! I love the rake and the bigs-n-littles, your car is coming together nicely. Looks like you are running caltracs for traction? and I see what looks to be ceramic coated headers hanging down. Anyways I really like your car. Scooper, If you get springs for a heavier motor and then cut them it has a tendency to make for a really stiff ride. Just be careful.
looks awsome! trying to see the before stance in your aviator(whatever its called-the litttle picture) do you have any before shots?
