Was just wondering if anybody made it to the Car Show at Hershey this week? Were there any Mavericks there? I didn't get to make it. Maybe there is still time left this season for an Eastern PA Mini Meet.
Living in the south most of my life, I was very surprised when I decided to drive from Harrisburg, PA to North Haven, CT (on a bidniz trip) and came across the Hershey Car Show. Man, I'd never seen so many classics in all my life! There was NO way I could see them all in one day. One of the nicest days of my life and also the one time I was glad I decided to drive rather than fly. re:Hershey Too bad about the Hershey Chocolate Plant closing http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/stories/2002/09/02/daily17.html
i Just got back yesterday from the Hershey show i did see one mav a 70 6 cyl blue very clean it was $3650.00 but it rained the two days i was there and the swap meet was at least 3miles long and on both sides of the road the car coral was full of people with delusions of grandure like a yenco clone for 49k A 68 CAMARO FOR 22500.00 and not one panel lined up..this show is only for the rich and untrained eye mostly for very early 30`s and model T`s and A`s not worth the 5 hour drive in my opinion unless you like stock classics no hot rods there at all...
Yup. I googled the show and saw that this one was beng put on by "Antique Automotive Club of America". Our cars are old, but they aren't "antiques" quite yet. I'll take "Vintage" over antique any day.
If you walk and see every vendor space, it's over 22 miles. I vended there for ten years. You really need all three days. To this crowd, Mavericks are just used cars. Sometimes that can lead to deals, but not very often. The focus is really on 50s and older cars.
