That will look pretty cool. You can just modify the filler/gas cap, so you can put it on the trunk floor. So when you need to put gas in it, you can just open the trunk and fill the tank. This way you don't have to move the filler tube or use a fuel cell.
Thanks Jamie. I agree with you, matter of fact I already had a set of Bobcat lights to put in my car until I decided to go with the Shelby setup. I've heard nothing but positive remarks about the rear of the car so I believe I made the right decision.
I will just move the filler inside. I've already shaved the filler cap off my Comet GT and put it in the trunk. Since gas vapors are vented to the motor, it wont be a problem. I think it really looks great without the filler on the back panel.
I really can't stand... the Maverick taillights. I am going to shave them off and put in recessed lights if possible. I think the taillights hide the nice circular lines of the taillight section.
I've already talked to Lambert Industries who makes custom LED tail lights. They definately will be sectioned & sequential in the turn signal mode and the whole thing will light up for brakes.
