I tore out the inside of my mav this weekend and this is what i found, i'm just looking for advice on how i should go about fixing it.
Plenty of sites on the internet: http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Body/Painting101/index.htm search also on "Por-15" (with quotes) Good luck, Rick edit: HA! I just saw this post: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2989
Where your floorboards used to be is where the torque boxes used to be. This is a major structural part of a car. From looking at all the pictures you have posted, I don't think you want to know what I would recommend.
Can you post a picture on what it is suposto look like, not the floor of the car, but the torque box and underneath. Bassicly, what is this torque box you speek of? lol Also, this is the car i baught for $50 and it runs and is going to be my learning tool. SO it dosent bother me too much that it needs a lot of work. Actually that is the point
You tore out the inside and found this? There should have been some obvious signs here! This car is history. Maybe good for some parts(not metal ones). That is downright ugly.
Cheez! Who'd You buy that car from "Fred Flintstone"? Please tell Me Your not driving that! I say put it on E-Bay,maybe Mr McGoo will bid on it! Good Luck!
jmo, i think you made a wise $50 investment. for $50 bucks you know what you don't want in a mav. if this is what you see , i am sure there is twice as much you don't. it is clear the cowls are gone. this would not even make a good pratice on car. keep it for a sample for others to look at. you were wise for asking before you started.good luck on finding a better car...frank...
