And I thought all the good yard cars were gone (sigh). Shame to see it there, but I'm shure you'll rescue all you can from the crusher.

Hmmm...my Sprint has white boomerangs but after looking at some pics of other Sprints I did see some with chrome ones.
The odd thing here is that the car at the salvage yard has white moldings around the qtr glass window and the window frame on the doors. No chrome at all. Dennis, do you know if that is factory or has someone removed the trim?

Ray; get 'em for me. I need a good set. Let me know, how much and how much to ship...if you have the time. Thanks,

    Earl

Ray, my current Sprint has no bright trim work over the windows and has white boomerangs. The dash trim on the bottom half is not there on this one.
My first Sprint had bright trim and chrome boomerangs. Trim on dash.
There must have been an appearance option pkg.

As for the Sprint poverty caps, I see a lot of those. They crop up alone in the strangest places.
I guess they are not all from Mavs though. With fastback Stangs, coupes, Mavs, and Pintos all offered as Sprints, and all using the Grabber blue poverty caps... I suppose there were a lot around.

So, are you bringing your Sprint over this coming spring Ray?
If you enter your Sprint 'as-is', I will enter mine the same... just so we can park a pair of Mav Sprints side by side at the Stang show.

    Dave

Edit: Strange thing: My painted (obviously from the factory) boomerangs, at least one, is chrome under the paint! Gorgeous chrome.

    Hi Dave,

I'll be at the P'Cola show but I'll probably bring the 74 LDO I just bought. I'm really anxious to show it off. I want to get the Sprint painted and seats covered before I take it out anywhere. I'd like to see them together too but I just don't think I could bring it out with this other one just sitting around. I also hope to have my blue Grabber ready again by then so it too may make it back.
    See you then.

Mine came with no stainless window trim. Everything was painted. All the stainless was probably some kind of trim option. I added it all to mine. Funny thing is my GT has stainless window trim but painted drip rail. I've seen more than a few GT's like this.

Doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it, does it? :hmmm: I guess that's what we get for buying these high dollar Mavericks. :90:

Dennis, it took some doing but I got the door open on the Sprint when I went back today. The car is located at Barry's U-Pull-It in Gulfport Ms. I do believe the only option it had was a/c. I got lots of goodies from it today, including the complete clutch pedal setup for $25.00. :)
Craig, you are welcome to use it in Maverick Heaven also. I have lots more pics of it if anyone needs to see anything else. Here's a pic of the data plate:

No, didn't get it but I may have to make another trip over there soon. Wouldn't mind having that. I meant to get the accelorator cable but forgot. I didn't take the fenders yet either so I may go ahead and get them. They both have minor damage but are easy repairs.
