Ken, Excellent pics. I forget, is that "THE" Dyno Don Maverick? Who has it and where, please? (another H-Jack alert)
Don't even think about the geo booster I got one for my car and it still is very close to the valve cover and I have a 302 with cleveland heads! The geo boosteris 6.25 DIA. I have sence decided to use a hydro booster.
Still got it? Sounds like you won't use it. Wanna sell it? If not, or if they are inexpensive, could you give me the PN for the one you got? Or maybe just the year and model booster I need to get? You know how parts stores are today... They can't do a thing for you until you give them the make, model, and year. I don't need one for engine clearance. I just want one so I can run power brakes without changing to the other tower brace. Thanks Dave
Yep I still have it, I will gladly sell it to you. It is used from the wrecking yard and I beleave a paid $25.00 for it. I'll PM you with some pictures.
Just a quick update......got the motor mounts done. With Christmas and whatnot, the work has been slow. I have the radiator support roughed out so that I can actually fit my stock 3 core radiator with the Taurus fan. (aluminum radiator not in this years budget, just have to run on cool days) Right now it is in position held with two vice grips. My 429 has a 68 T-bird water pump on it that is almost 1" shorter than others. It just makes it with about 1/2" to spare but only because the Taurus fan is offset from the center. Last week I have been in header making he!!. Trying to get 36" long primary 1-7/8 tubes wrapped around in there. The driver side primaries are pretty much done. Just got a good start on the passenger side today. Then I need to fit about 18 inches of 3-1/2" diameter secondary tubing under the car. With the Mustang II front there is way more room to work with the 429 than the 302 with headers and towers. Use of a front motor plate would really open things up further (may be next years project when the cage goes in - but for now its done....movin on) I'll try to post a few progress pics later...just a lot of work but little to show right now.
