bearcat was a dealer prepped car, it had mag wheels and side pipes and maybe a rear spoiler on some and some decals on the front fenders, other than that it was not a factory speced car with any particlular options.

The Comet Bear Cat was a 1972 option only. As stated they had mag wheels with slots and the centers were blacked out. They had Thrush side pipes, with Bear Cat script on the rear upper quarter panels. Do a search for an article posted about these cars.

Forgot to mention the Bear Cat was only on the GT cars. No special engines or transmissions. 302 2v and either a C4 or three speed with floor shift.

The Bear Cat emblems appear to have varied in location depending on the dealer.
The pic/postcard that Chuck Stalnaker provided for the MCCI shows it on the front fender below the stripe where 'COMET GT' is inscribed.

Man look at how high that thing is. 4x4 Comet anyone? All it needs is the light bar on the roof and your ready to hit the trails. :rofl2:

I think it could do without the sidepipes, fog lights and huge tires, but thats just me. :)
