Congratulations to the Dolls! There 1976 Maverick Stallion is on the front cover of AutoRestorer Magazine and it is the "Feature Restoration" car! There is a four page article on the restoration of there car and some history about the Ford Maverick. This is a vary nicely written article and a must have for anyone that likes Mavericks! February 2006, volume 18 number 2. AutoRestorer "The How-To Guide For Car & Truck Enthusiasts. Our Club is also is also mentioned.

    Magazine Information

www.custmag.com/arr I don't think Auto Restorer is sold on the general news stand. Mabe in a book store. It is a news letter type of magazine that is only done in black and white. It is an excellent source for restoration education such as how to do things step by step. You can learn from other peoples experiences and projects. Joe

Thanks GrabberJoe. I have not yet seen the article myself. My husband Dale and I had a great time talking to the photographer and writer, Mr. Bob Tomaine. It was my hope that we would represent the Mavericks as honestly and accurately as possible. I also asked Mr. Tomaine to please mention the Maverick/Comet Club because if it were not for our members, the Mavericks and Comets would probably not be getting half the recognition that they are getting now. I wanted to be sure our club was recognized too.

I guess I'm just going to have to stay in suspence. All it shows me is a box with a red X in it. That's OK. I know what the car looks like.;)

Yes, Congrats Jean! I can't see anything but a red X also, but I think I know what it looks like. And Thank you guys very much for representing us and the club good also!(y)
It must be a tough one to find, because I went to a place here where I live that supplies all the stores with there mags and books. And they didn't carry it.
Guess I'll have to order one.
