Anyone have any info on a lakewood scattershield?

    I have a lakewood scattershield for my Comet project,with a block plate.The question is do i use the ford spacer plate between the engine and trans with the block plate or just use the block plate as the spacer? Any help will be much appreciated,thanks Derek

    Derek, I use only the block plate with my Lakewood bellhousing, no problems.

    Do any of you have header clearance issues?
    I did, but that was on a 351.

    Also, if you use an 11" clutch, clearance is tight, but will work.
    The instructions are to get a set of adjustable guide pins to replace the pins in your block. This is so you can fine tune the fit in relation to your flywheel.
    I just stuck it on though, and it fit fine.

    Yeah, I had to trim the flange on each side of the bellhousing some.

    Same here I was running Blackjack Headers at the time and had to trim the flange on the passenger side.
