i have a 1972 ford maverick and i am putting in a 351w motor with mostly all performance parts. over sized pistons (60 over) and over sized cam stock 351w crank. stock water pump. performance heads with oversized valves. it has not been put in yet so it will have 0 miles on it. how fast do you think it will run in a 1/4 of a mile???? hopefully yall will tell me pretty quick!!! oh and i also have a 750 cfm. carb. and a weiland intake that pushes real nice. lol.

    I would hate to guess...

There is so many things involved in getting the maximum out of a engine. Its not only about sticking a powerful motor and going. If you have it set-up to race: suspension, weight, gears, slicks, etc. etc. there is no telling what it will run. If you are putting this motor in a stock (chassis and rear end) maverick. I would guess somewhere in the mid 12's to low 13's. Of course this is just my opinion, like I said earlier, there is soooooo many things involved.

Definitely 11's is attainable. What type of tranny? Are you running stock suspension? What type of traction device? Do you know how much your car weighs? Have you ran your motor on the desk top dyno? go to www.hardcore50.com click on members area and they have a performance calculator that will help you get a better ballpark figure on what it will run. Just remember, its gonna be on paper, it is almost always different when you are at the track, but it should give you a good general ideal.
